Festivals – the source of enjoyment, zeal, enthusiasm, and fun. Particularly in India the major source of celebration are festivals, be it Holi or Eid or Baisakhi we Indians never miss the chance to grab out fun. However this year things are different owing to unprecedented occurrences that have not only affected our day to day life, from economy to education, but also the festivals. We all have been locked down for nearly five months and in this span of 5 months many festivals came and many are yet to come.

THE PINK CITY: JAIPUR

The best example of ancient as well as modern culture; the historical city of Jaipur is the capital of the royal state of Rajasthan. The city is situated on the eastern border of the Thar Desert; but surrounded by the elevated Aravallis on three sides; it is protected from the harsh desert.

Unlike relationships such as marriage, which have clear timelines and validity, friendships have no ceremonial beginning or end, no biological definition. They are not sanctioned by any church, nor recognized officially by any state. Maybe that is why they require much more diligence and effort. Among many such friendly relations, female friendships have originated to be a powerful force in the world. Women have for years been diminished by the society and burdened by the family. This is perhaps what led to women finding their identity and power among friends.
